Ready4Work Jacksonville is an offender re-entry workforce development program which mobilizes local coalitions to work together for sustainable offender reintegration, and to improve outcomes for offenders and the communities in which they live.

Ready4Work Jacksonville is a component of Operation New Hope, a faith-based organization serving offenders with case management, life coaching, job training, and job placement services.

Operation New Hope, Inc. is committed to developing strategic partnerships in businesses, faith-based and community nonprofits, and criminal justice agencies that will lead the way in successfully reintegrating offenders. Identifying offenders who are prepared to do their part is critical to the re-entry process.

Partnerships with corrections, parole and probation officials are indispensable since these criminal justice professionals are able to assess the capabilities commitment, and attitudes that are essential to success.

Ready4Work Eligibility Requirements:

  • Arrange to pay applicable fines, restitution or child support assessments.
  • Participate in Life Coaching program for one year.
  • Be between ages of 18-45 years of age.
  • Be willing to complete a 2-3 week Career Development training course.
  • Be willing to be case-managed for one year.
  • Be willing to receive job support services and follow-up services for one year.
  • Recent charge/arrest within last year (non-violent/non-sexual offenses).
  • Bring your ID, Social Security card, and background check.
  • Pass a random drug test.
  • Bring a copy of High School diploma/G.E.D or TABE results.

Ready4Work Incentives:

  • $50.00 rewarded upon completion of 90 days of employment.
  • $50 rewarded upon completing one consecutive year in the program.
  • Certificate of Completion.
  • Job interview outfit.
  • JTA bus passes to attend Ready4Work classes.
